Description:
The epidemic levels of the H1N1
virus are reaching and affecting people of all ages.
Hospice faces the dilemma of vaccinating patients based on
life expectancy, state of health, transmission, and even
respecting the right of the patient to choose not to be
vaccinated. This course addresses protecting staff,
patients and family caregivers.
Objectives:
- Identify at lease two methods of H1N1 transmission
- Describe at least two prevention strategies
- Outline three signs and symptoms of the H1N1 virus
- Identify two methods of administering the flu vaccine
