Description:
This course discusses the potential hazards associated with
combustible material and electrical equipment. Whether in the
home or the office setting, all staff and volunteers need to
know how to protect themselves, the patient, family and
caregivers.
Objectives:
- The learner will describe the appropriate response to the
discovery of smoke or flames
- The learner will list three common causes
of fire
- The learner will explain the steps involved
in using a fire extinguisher
- The learner will describe the appropriate response to a
victim of electrical shock
