Description:
Learn how to make a positive first impression, improve your communication skills with your patients, families and colleagues. In this program you will learn about factors that influence communication; the impact of first impressions; non-verbal vs. verbal communication; and, active and reflective listening. when encountering an angry person.
Objectives:
- Participant will explain the significance of making a
first impression
- Participant will list at least 5 examples of verbal
and non-verbal communication.
- Participant will define assertive, non-assertive and aggressive
communication styles.
- Participant will list at least four aspects of active
and reflective listening.
- Participant will identify three strategies to use when
encountering an angry person.
