Description:
Not providing food and water at end-of-life may be difficult
for care givers, whether they are family or healthcare professionals.
You will learn activities that may assist care givers in providing
nutritional and emotional support, both prior to and during
this time. Personal nutritional choices, cultural considerations,
and ethical issues are also explored.
Objectives:
- The learner will identify nutritional care givers as both
family and professionals, located in various settings.
- The learner will list some components of a nutritional
assessment.
- The learner will list nutritional support activities.
- The learner will identify cultural, personal, and ethical
issues concerning nutrition at end-of-life.
