Description:
This course is designed to create a greater understanding
of how to maintain boundaries while working in end of life
care. It will provide an understanding about boundary expectations.
Participants will be challenged to consider when they have
been in a boundary violation and what they did to resolve
the violations. A deeper understanding about the resolve/outcomes
of that violation will be considered in order to assess one's
best future course of action.
Objectives:
- Participants will be able to explain the boundary expectations
in the social work profession as indicated by the NASW Code
of Ethics.
- Participants will be able to identify boundary violations
as outlined by the NASW Code of Ethics
- Participants will define when they have been in a boundary
violation and what a social worker should do once they discover
the boundary violation.
