Description:
This course is designed to explore the social workers' role in understanding their responsibility to LEAD in the organization. Key leadership principles will be explored along with ways in which the interdisciplinary team can be enhanced by strong effective social work leadership. Barriers that cause interdisciplinary teams from performing their best will be explored and the responsibility the social worker has to eliminating those barriers will be identified.

Objectives:

• Participant will summarize the social worker's role to LEAD the organization.
• Participant will identify ways the IDT can be enhanced by strong social work leadership.
• Participant will identify barriers that keep the IDT from performing at its best and the social worker's responsibility in combating these barriers.
