Description:
This course is designed to explore the social worker's role
in assessment, intervention and treatment planning. Components
of a quality psychosocial assessment will be identified as
well as the relevance of the psychosocial assessment to the
IDG. Social workers also need to understand their role in
enhancing the psychosocial assessment so that the client and
family receive the best possible psychosocial care. Participants
will be gain a deeper understanding of the importance the
psychosocial assessment has for the entire interdisciplinary
team.
Objectives:
- Participant will define the components of the psychosocial
assessment in end of life care
- Participant will identify the psychosocial assessments
relevance to the IDT
- Participant will identify the social worker's role in
enhancing the psychosocial assessment.
